By Telegraph—Press Association Dunedin, June 4. At Burnside yards 186 fat cattle were penned. The quality was fair. Prime heavy bullocks showed a slight advance. Medium cattle at late rates. Prime heavy bullocks, J2l to JJ23 7s. lid.; prime, ,£l7 10s. to £'B 55.; medium, .£l4 os."to .£l6 7s. Gd.; light, .£l2; prime heifers, 2s. 6d.; cows, J613 2s. 6d. The sheep penned numbered 1904. With exception of a few pens, the quality was only fair.' The market opened firm at late rates, and as tho sale progressed prices advanced Is. to Is. 6d. per head, lixtra prime heavy wethers, 555. (id.; prime, 365. to 425. 3d!; medium, 31s. to 335. (id.;-light, 285.; extra prime.heavy, ewes, 50s. (id. to 535.; prime heavy, 41s. 9d. to 465. 6d.; prime, 3Cs. to l«s. 6d.; medium, 2Ss to 31s. Gd.; light, 225. upwards. There were 1247 lambs penned. ■The quality was only fair. Freezing buyers operated freely for good quality and a (rood sale resulted. There was it medium yarding of pigs, and prices wero firm.
