FIRE AT BURNETT'S FACE

Williams's store at Burnett's Face was burnt to the ground on Saturday night, also the stnulce attached, Tha insurance on the building and stock is for ,£IOOO, in the Alliance Office. The Fire Brigade were summoned about a quarter to one yesterday afternoon to litteiul an outbreak of five at premises in •18 llartin Street, occupied by Maurice and Isaac Gotlieb, cabinetmakers. It is not known how the fire occurred, but the blaze was suppressed alter only very slight 'damage had been done to tho building and contents. The building is owned by V. Jansen, but the amount of the insurance was not availablo yesterday. There is a policy for JCISO on 111# contents in the New Zealand Insurance officc.
