In the early history of the new article progress was naturally slow, but the perfecting of the system soon opened the eyes of the building trade to the fact that a very simple, durable building material bad been patented. As a result, architects and builders arb now using "Konka" freely with results far superior to that of timber, and far less costly than brick or full concrete, and yet giving tho •similar results in permanence and low maintenance, It will no doubt be a surprise to man.v to know that sales hc-vo recently increased over 100 per cent., ami that already considerably over 500,000 feit . of "Konka" have been used in Wan garni i and district alone, so conserving that Quantity of clean timber, and yet giving better results.
