LICENSING POLL

RETURNS NEARLY COMPLETE. The returns of the licensing poll are now nearly complete. Some additional soldiers' votes have to be added before the official announcement of the result can bo made. Tho majority for continuance stands at present at 10,389. The totals are as follow,— Continuance 263,942 Prohibition 253,553 Informal 1,758 Majority for Continuance 10,389 T£e soldiers' vote gives a majority ot 24,181 for continuance, and the civilian vote a majority of 13,795 for prohibition. The combined votes produce tne continuance majority already mentioned.
