MERTON'S LATE CHAIRMAN. (Eeo. Juno 1. 5.5 p.m.) London, May 30. The King's Bench has decided against the Board of Trado for refusing a license to Henry Gardner, formerly chairman of Merton's (the metal firm), to hade in non-ferrous metals. v The Chief Justice declared that since the outbreak of the war Gardner had done everything possible to divest himself of his German associations.—Aus.N.Z.
