SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Despite the wildness of the night outside, cheeriness reigned at the Misses Griffiths' concert inside at the Sailors Friend Society on Tuesday. The performers were: Mts. M'Lean and the Misses Fnrquhar (2), V. Mueller, Bennott, Tioon, Griffiths, E. Griffiths, and Messrs. Springall (Arawa), and Bowcn. Mesdaines Varo and M Lean and Miss Griffiths were at the , piano. Mr. Moore, niissipnor, was in the chair, and he spokoon "Lnagination."' Names wore added to the temporanco roll. Mrs. Griffiths and 'Mr. Glover sent in prizes for tho competitions, and these were won by men from the Arawa, lonic, and Paparoa. Cheers were tendered to the hostesses at the close.
