ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held laet ; evening, Mr. W. Auld in the chair. Members present were: Messrs. J. Ferguson, H. Spoleki, R. Hendry, H. L. Godber, L. White, C. Webster, C. Wnrd, H. Yeoinau, and A. Williams (hon. secretary). ' Tho protest of Institute v. Marist Fifth Division for playing a boy over age was dismissed, the boy being under age according to tho declaration forni. , Messrs. C. P. Skerrett, K.C., Welle, ami W. Auld were appointed a deputa. tion to wait on the City Council on Monday next re the Basin Reserve and other matters.
A letter was read from the Wellington Rugby Football League asking for a ground if there wore a sparo one available. It was decided to allow them Newtown Park with the consent of the City Council Reserves Committee. ■
Tho following junior team was picked to pluy nt Wanganui on King's Birthday: Abel (Petone), Jones (Y.M.C.A.), Q. Ward (Y.M.C.A.), Gamble (Marist), Rose (ICarori), Lewis (Marist), Jenkins (Petone), J; Dcely (Petone), Eandell (Karori), Eton (Karori), Bramley (JohnBonville). Captain and team manager, Q. Ward. Heserves: G. Bell (South Wellington), Mason (Karori). Players selected ipd not available to make the journey are requested to communicate with the selectors.
Canterbury are sending a representative 6enior team to meet 'Wellington at the Basin Reserve on King's Birthday at 3 p.m. The Wellington team will be chosen after the senior games on , Saturday. The sum of two guineas was donated to tne Now Zealand Sports Protection League for expenses incurred in the recent municipal election. . SCHOOLS FIXTURES. School fixtures for Friday were drawn as folloW: South Wellington A v. Marist (N) A, Kilbirnio (3.30), C. Webster; Marist N (B) v. South Wellington' B, Kilbirnie (3.30), A. Noxer; Island Bay v.
