WILSON'S POLICIES ATTACKED IN SENATE
BITTER. CRITICISMS OP LEAGUE OF NATIONS. Washington, May 23. Bitter attacks are being made in the Senate upon President Wilson's policies. The League of Nations is particularly assailed. Senator Sherman denounced the League as a revolutionary attempt to establish a Parliament of Nations under oligarchic control. President Wilson he called a radical revolutionary visionary, dangerous to the country, and President Wilson's administration a hybrid between the French Revolution and Oriental despotism.—A ue.-N.Z. The "Daily Telegraph's" Paris correspondent stales that there is growing impudence at Italy's attitude, in connection with Fiume. Of the Italian delegates, Signor Salnndra, Marquis Sal-vago-Rnjrgi, and Signor Barzilai support the extreme Pan-Italian Party against Signor Orlando, who, it is understood, favours a compromise.—Aus.-N.Z.
