KING'S MEDAL PRESENTED,

By Telegraph—Press Aaeooiatiou. Auckland, May' 25. The King's Admiralty Medal, u\rarde.l to Charles Glidden, a membor of tho Aurora Expedition to the Antarctic, was formally presented to him by the Hon. T. M. Wilford, at the office of tho Federated Seanien'a tTnion. Mr. Wilford stated that he would say no more than quote tho words of tho official records, which stated: "Now began a fight with death, which called forth qualities of self-denial, endurance, and comradeship worthy of tho highest traditions of polar service." For those attributes possessel by Glidden, he had received this high honour.
