An interesting match took place 3on Wednesday afternoon at Treutham Military Gauip between teams of Senior Cadet N (J.O.'s representing Auckland Grammar School and Otago Boys' High School. An interesting and exciting game was witnessed. The game was well handled by Captain Crawford, of the N.Z.M.0., a well-known referee. The play was last and clemi throughout, and was Kurlj; even until just before half-time, when the Grammar School took charge of tlie game, and O'Hara touched down, ihe try was not converted. Half-time came with Auckland leading with 3 to nil. 'ihe second half was much in favour of Iho Grammar School. Threo more tries vren> registered for the school by Jaggs, Jiyland, and Axford respectively. Tliey wero not converted. Auckland finished up winnors'by 12 to nil. Conspicuous players among the Grammar School team were Goodacre (full-back), Hylaud, and Ja"Ki in tho three-quarter lme, ani! Moore, Lintott, O'Hara, and Carpenter, forwards. Otago boys who did good work for their side were Taylor, Allan (nveeighthe), Slinnd (half), and Dunne ana Bell (forwards). A match is being arranged for to-morrow afternoon between North and South Island representative teams. The Cadet and Territorial n c.o.'s who undergo course 3of instruc r tion in T'rentham Training Camp aro welt catored for us far as recreation is concerned. A boxing tournament lasting two evenings and an athletic sports ineqlv ing have been arranged for next week.
