MONTHLY - MEETING. Messrs. T. Forsyth (chairman), W. H. Field, M.P., E. A. Wright, M.P., It. MTCnlhm, M.P., A. W. Hogg, G. London, C I. Harkness, J4. Penney, J.' J. Clarke, T. Moss, and E. P. Uishworth wore present at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Education Board held Jesterday. Tho .financial statement showed receipts amounting to ,£19,75.1 3s. 7d. smco last meeting. The payments now authorised amount to X 15,170 (is. 7d. The cash in the bank on current account on April 30, j after deducting uripresentcd cheques" ,£3348 12s. 'Id.), was ,£3638 9s. Bd., and, on May .17, J!5221 13s. 6d. The anipunt on deposit was as follows:—Bank of New 'Zealaud, £1000; Public Trustee, .£6000; War Loan certificates, ,£1000;- total, .£II,OOO. Government grants amounting to .£7716 14s, Id. were now due.
