Mr. Aubrey L. Williams, of Christchurch, formerly of the N.Z.E.F., ts lecturing in Italy on Russian conditions. After being invalided out of tho Force Mr. Williams was on Foreign Office service in Russia.' His brother, Dr. Harold 'Williams, was. until recently Petrograd correspondent of tho Lonaoii "Daily Chronicle." 1

Mrs. C. F. Osmers and Mrs. A. G. Smith are booked' by the Arawa, Engineer-Lieutenant C. S. Jacobson, R.N.R., formerly of tho Main Body, is now on H.M-.S. Palmol.

Mr. Gerald M. Ballantyne, of Christchurch, who has been serving as a. driver with tho A.S.C., has been demobilised, and expects to return to New Zealand shortly. Major N. M. Halcombe, R.E., R.A.F., of Urenui. who was married only a few weeks ago, has' died from influonza in Egypt, contracted while on route to take up an R.A.F.- post in India. Mr. Keith M. Izard, son of Mr. and Mrs.- C. H. Izatd, of Wellington, has died of pneumonia at tho age of 31. He served in the British section of the N.Z.E.F., and afterwards held a commission in the Imperial Forces, which he had to relinquish bocause of illhealth. Miss Edith Davies, formerly of Wellington, is working at a Y.M.C.A. hut at Camberwell. Major A. Coningham, R.A.F., of Wellington, is at present in London. ■ Tho date of his return to New Zealand is indefinite. Major Keith Murray, R.A.F., ■ returns by the Remuera. Major R. Wilson is booked for the Rimutaka. The death is announced at Warrington of (Miss Annie Madeley, of Birmingham, who was recently in New Zealand. Second • Lieutenant 'J. W. Pinekney, of King Edward's Horse, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pinekney, wounded and missing since April last, is now presumed to have been killed. The names of the following New Zealanders have beon brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for War for valuable services rendered on thesinking or damage by enomy action of hospital ships, transports, etc.:—Second Lieutenant H.
