There was a, decided improvement in the demand for sheep, and the bulk of the entry was sold at prices well up to late rates. Oattle met. 1 with a dragging sale, and there was no competition except for stuff of except tional quality. Quotations:—2-tooth wethers, 17s„ 20s. to 235. 6d.:-2-tooth ewes, 18s. 10d.; 2-tooth,ewes in lamb, 25a; f.m. ewes in lamb, 17s. to 18s. 6d.: fat md forward ewes, 20s. to 235.; cull 2-tooths, 13b.; b.f. lambs. 10b. 3d.: lj-year steers, ,£S 45.; 15-year licifers, £4 to £4 10b.
