PONBKB MEET ATHLETIC TO-DAY. The meeting of Poneke and Athletic, pn Athletic Park to-day, is expected to attract a big crowd of llugby followers. Poneke has a fine back combination, and Athletic is stronger in the rearguard than for many years, and an exciting contest is anticipated. Two improving teams in Selwyn and - Orion'tal meet on No. 2 ground, whilo there is an early match. Oriental v. Athletic (Fifths). To-day's official programme will 0011tain the names of the players in both senior matches at the park, aud in addition jerseys will be numbered. It has been arranged that a train will leavo Lambton for Lower Hutt at 2.15 p.m. cacli Saturday during the senson. Notices to the football public and refereos appear in the advertising columns, and players afe advised of the following amendments to either fixtures, grounds, or referees:—Third Grade, Oriental v. Hutt. at Hutt No. 1 (A. Jf'Bain). Fourth Grade—Poneke v. Wellington, at Lyall Bay. No. 2 (A. ICean); llarist Old Boys v. Hutt, at Ilntt No. 2 (Mr. Pilcher). Fifth Grade—Poneke v. Berliampore, at Duppa Street No 1, at 1.30 p.m. (R. T. Bailey). Tho following mutches will not bo played:—Erimarv schools championship—Terrace v. I'elone District High School, at Athletic Park No. 2 (11. Pa ton), and Hutt v. Wellington College B; at College No. 2 (L. Kvle).
