THE WATERSIDE DISPUTE
CONFERENCE CLOSED YESTERDAY. ' Representatives of ttie employers of waterside labour and of the waterside workers' organisations met again yester. day and discussed further the demand of*the workers for increased pay. This conference followed the'rejection by the workers of the employers' offer of an increase of 2d, per hoiir in wages, making the total wage &. an, hour. Another was presented to the workers' delegates by the employers. The matter will be referred to the unions, possibly by means of another ballot, and in the meantime no details have been made available for publication.
