—_« •' • MEETING OP COMMITTEE. •The Management''Committee 'of tho Wellington Football Association hold its weekly meeting in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr. W. Auld presided. The chairman welcomed Mr. L. White, of the Swifts Club, who had been elected ft member of the committee in place of Mr. J. M. Coleman, resigned. The chairman reported that in company with Messrs. Webster and Ward ho visited the suburban school and was cordially received t>y the headmasters. The masters ( were against tho boys' leaving the schools unless in charge of somebody • who - could give the'boys some training nt least on one afternoon in the week, and generally look after them. This was the difficulty at practically every school, and it. was hard to know where to find the men for this purpose. The .Thistle Club wrote stating that it was impossible to raise a'third-class team and requesting that tho entry he withdrawn. The South Wellington School will entor two (earns for tho schools' competition, and the Y.M.C.A. another teani for the Sixth B Grade Competition. ' The New Zealand .Football Association wr<»te asking for a second division team to be sent to Wangnnui to play on June S. Tt was stated that the visit of a Wellington team would prove of erent help to Wanganui. It was decided to try and complv with the reouest. Messrs. C. Webster, Ward, and Bruce Black were appointed selectors of .the second division team. The request of the Bovs'. Institute Club for the transfer of D. Chander from 5 B te.'/ A was referred to the Boys' Sub-Com-mittee. ' ' The school comnetitions begin on Friday afternoon and the fixture. 1 * arranged are: Karori v.
