BOWLING
MEETING OF WELLINGTON CENTRE. The Executive Committee of the Wellington Bowling Centre of Xew Zealand met last everting, Mr. G.'Hendry preA letter from Mr. J. Muir (Otaki delegate) was read by tho secretary, in. which he complained of the action of the committee m recording a minute in connection with hie relation to the Trentham art union scheme. Mr. Muir said that it was not his scheme, and he desired an amendment of the minutes by the deletion of "Muir's bowling scheme. Ine secretary pointed out that this was not in tho minutes, but contained in a communication. The matter in the minutes was that the centre disapproved of the action of Mr. Muir in connection with the Trentham art union tickets. _Mr. Muir then moved that tho word "disapprove" bo deleted, and this was seconded pro forma by Mr. F. Meadowcroft (Eelburn), and was lost. Mr. K. J. Hill (To Hiwi) moved that for tho next season's play tho Gisbc-rne Hose Bowl bo presented to the team which has tlie least number of points scored against it in section play of centre's tournament. Mr. Robertson (Petone) seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. The meeting decided to extend an invitation to Mr. J. 1 , . Smith, of Napier, to visit Wellington for the purpose of inspecting the different greens with the idea of demonstrating his methods of' :.>re.paring them and making them level. In a letter to the centre Mr. Smith mentioned that ho desired to giro some demonstrations of his methods of top-dressing.
