. • INVESTMENT SHAKES/ A sale of Kstiapoi Woollen shares (ordinary) at £7 13s. 6d. wa3 reported yesterday. The quotations were as under:—
LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs/Dalgety amUOompany, Ltd., are in receipt of a cablegram from their London office under date May i, reading as follows:—"Second scries of Government ■wool- sales opened to-day. The selection taken generally .was poor* but 'met with fair 'competition.. Good-combing merinos and fine crossbrcdß ar9 5 per cent, dearer, whilst low-quality crossbreds aro 5 per cent, cheaper, and all other sortn unchanged." Messrs. Levin and Go., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from London, dated May 7:-"As compared with April closing rates, the present saleß show:— Combing merinos are at par, fine crossbreds five per cent, dearer, medium crossbreds unchanged, coarse crossbreds slightly cheaper."
