Prices were aB follow:—Fat cows, £11 ; fresk-eon--1 dltioned, £8 4s. to £9 2s. 6d.;' stores, £5 7a. to £6 16s. j twenty-months steers, £6; two to two and a half-year ohoice in-calf hciierß, £8 10s. to £3 12s. 6d.; twenty-months in-calf hoifcrs, Jersey cross, £5 10b. to £6; twenty-months Shorthorn in-calf heifers, £4 165.; springing heifers, £12 10s.; f.m. ewes, fair condition, 9s. 3d.; store lambs, 9s. 2d.; mixed-sex weaners, £2 25.; store pigs, £1 10s.; slips, 10s.; At out Manaia sale on May i a good muster of cattlo oanie forward, and practically the whole yarding was disposed of under the hammer or privately' alter the sale. The following were tile prices realised:—Freshconditioned cows, £8 to £8 15a.; stores, £5 to £7; boners, £5 7s. to £4 10s.; bulls, £6 ss. to £11; twenty-months in-calf hoifers, £4 is. to £i> 12s. ti.i mixed weanera, £r 16s. to £2 55.; wcauer heifers, £1 10s.; lambs, 13s. 9d. to 18s.; ..small store pigs, £1 45.; posts, Is. 6d. to Is. 9d. At Wavcrloy on May 9 we had a small yarding, which sold at late rates. F.ni. wothers, 195.; cull do., Bs. 6d.; weaker heifers, £2. At our Palmer Koatl sale, on May 9 we had a full yarding of cattle- Prices for good store cowß wero on a par with recent sales. Weaners and young cattle wero in poor demand. Priceß realised were as follow.—Good heavy fat cows, £12 to £12 25.; others, £10 Is. to £11 165.; frcsh-conditioued and forward cows, good, £9 ss. to £9 17s. 6d.; otherb. £7 9s. to £8 7s. 6d.; store «ows, £4 ?s. to £6 Bs.; bonerß, £3 Is. to £4; bulls, £7 10s. to £9; i Jersey weaner heifers, good. £2 18a.; weaner heifers, £1 lis.; mixed weanorß, £1 Is. to £1 Ba. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their monthly sale at Otaki on Monday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattlo.
