WADESTOWN BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY
The ■ffadestown Cottage Garden and Beautifying Society held its second annual meeting on Wednesday evening. Mr. E. Wylie presided. •■■„„' ." In moving the adoption of tho report and balance-sheet, the latter showing a credit balance of £9 ISs. lid., the chairman hid stress on the room for development and bright outlook for the .future. - The membership of the society now stood at 1211, which must bo regarded as very satisfactory considering tlio size of the district to- which the society is limited. The report was adopted. Trophies won at the recent autumn show were presented by Mr. Wylio as follow •.—The society's challenge cup to Mr. J. Emley (this being the second lr,\ii! in Kiic'ivsinn Mr. Emlpy has won I his cup); Mr. H. S. Hislop's cup, to Mr, J. E. Bass; and trophies to the various points prize-winner.* to Mesdaincs Orei'ory, ,T. G. Cooke, Hisses Bass and 13. Cook, and Messrs. Bass, Eniley, and Holding. At n show of chrysanthemums held miriPf (hi , your, Mr. Emlov cnvried off the first prize and Mr. A, Coles the second.
