BRITISH EMPIRE ORDER
A MILITARY DIVISION. The Minister of Internnl Affairs (the Hon. 6. W .Biissell) announced yesterday that a dispatch had been received from the Colonial Office intimating that there is to be established a military division of the Most Excellent Onler of the British Empire. This branch will be open to men and women in all branches of wai service, inoluding those persons , engaged in work not under the AVar Office, tat in work which, but for the creation of nbw Departments, would have been done by the War Office. Persone already appointed to the Order, who are qualified for tho' military division, will be transferred to it from the lists published. The insignia for both civil and military divisions will be the same, but tho riband for the military division will be distinguished by a red stripe in the centre of the present riband.
