CERTIFICATES FOR MEMBEBS "OF N.Z.E.F. The Defence Department is calling for competitive designs for the illuminated certificates that are to be issued to members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. There are to be two certificates, the first for soldiers who have had overseas eervice and the second for men with not less than twelve months' home ser. vice
The Imperial authorities have not jet authorised the issue of a general war medal, but it is officially stated that in the ordinary course of events it may be anticipated that this will be done immediately after the declaration of peace. Meanwhile the New Zealand Defence Department is preparing rolls of recipients and making all arrangements for the distribution or the medal.
