The "Herald's" Loudon eorresponßenl 3 has interviewed" Sokoloff, a Rufjiian economist who is also a Bolshevik and a close friend of Lenin and Trotsky. Sokoloff has just arrived from Russia. He said: "The Bolshevik regime was unsuccessful because it failed to keep the labouring classes disciplined. The Government compelled the peasants to pay levies, although it had planned that the levies should come from, the bourgeoisie. Land conditions had been allowed to become chaotic. The Government failed to establish State farms. Tile Abo (Finland) correspondent of the London "Times," in a message dated May 2, states that a Bolshevik fleet bombarded Narva and did serious damage.
