WESTPORT HARBOUR BOARD

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. By Telegraph—Prees Association. Westport, May 7. At the Westport Harbour Board's meeting to-day objection was taken by two elected members, representing llio town and country respectively, to proceeding with tho election of a chairman until the Government had made the expected fresh appointment of a nominee member or members. A motion in that direction was defeated, and Mr. W. T. Slee, the retiring chairman', was re-elected on a majority vote of four to three.
