HUTT DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Lower Hutt District High School was held last evening. Present: Messrs. Eishworth (chairman), Anderson, Meldrum, West, Alexander, Smith (secretary). Tho headmaster's report" showed an average attendance of -100 for tho past week. Messrs. Smith and Anderson were appointed as representatives on tho Technical School Board. Messrs. Smith, West, and Meldrum were appointed delegates to a conference to be held on May 22 for the purpose of deciding on a site for tho eroction of a secondary high school in the Hutt Valley. Tho offer of .Mrs. Humphrey, on behalf of a committee of ladies, to deliver 'about four lectures to upper class girls on home nursing was accepted .with thanks.
Harry Vardon, the golf player, has been offered tlio post of professional to tho lSraeburn Club, Mass.
