The principal' feature of the grain market foi'some days past has been .the rush on tho part of some forward sellers of oats to,.cover their sales. Demalid wa3 keen for' a few days, but tho position is now easier.' The nominal prico of oats at country stations haß'advanced, ' but apparently it is not yet sufficient to induce farmers to sell any inoro freely -than-they.have done hitherto. A grade Qartons are now quoted at Bs. 9d. to 3s. 10d. per bushel at country stations, aiid B grade at 3s. Gd. to 3s. Bd. Good Algerians are also in keen demand at lip to 3s v 6d. per bushel,, and' Danish are Avoqth 3s. 3d. to 3s. 6d. Oatsheaf chaff Jhas also advancSl in . sympathy with cats, and is now worth i:3 to ss. per j ton at country stations. Linseed is firmer, and tho quotation is £15 7s. 6d. to 10s. per ton at country stations. White clover and cocksfoot are still slow of sale. Cow grass is wortli lid. and Is. Id. per lb. Potatoes show further firmness, and. £§' lis. per ton is now about tho average price at country stations.
