Bad weather prevented the mail steamer leaving Ostenn, and he travelled in ii destroyer from Dunkirk. Ho considers that 'the Socialist Conference did much -useful work. Mr. Ryan tho resolutions in favour.of the League of Nations, and interfering with the tariffs, and also the making of regulations endangering the idea of a Wliilj Australia. Mr. Ryan left tho conference before it reached tho resolution favouring the restoration of tho German colonies. Mr. Ryan will return early next week aboard' the Kaisar-i-lnnd.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
