By Telegraph—Press vAeeobiatlon BUTTER SUPPLIES IMPROVING. • London, April 24. The butter supplies are improving. The ration is to be two ounces as from next week. The Government has purchased the Irish output for the season;, the price has not been disclosed, but it is under that paid in 1918. ' : ■ There ie but little prospect of the ienioval of Government control of the butter supplies at present, as tho price of other decontrolled foods advanced in prioe after the removal of control, notably bacon. The Government has not- yot decided whether to purchase the Canadian cheeso output.—Aus.-M.Z. Cable Assn.
Anthracite ie more valuable for heating purposes than any other coal. It contains ae inuoh as ninety-oight parts in a hundred of pure carbon, while bitumen. bub coal averages only about' eighty puxta of enrbou in a hundred.
