HOSPITAL SHIP FUNDS
FINAL ALLOCATION. The executive of the Hospital Ship Fund, after very careful consideration nnd consultation, has decided with the approval of the Government to utilise the small remaining balance of the cash in band now that the services of the ships as hospital ships have been dispensed with, for tho provision of a. lnedical students' hall- for tho Medical Students' Training Corps nt tho Medical School in Dunedin. In this building provision will be made for tho installation of the latest medical appliances. Tho decision has been arrived nt after consultation with tho four centres, and it is felt that this scheme would benefit not only the military, but the civil training of medical students, and incidentally wonld prove of great value to the community at large. AH the equipment which has been supplied voluntarily or which has been purchased has been allocated us follows:— That belonging to the Maramu to the military hospitals in tho North Island, and that belonging to the Maheno to Ihoso in (he South Island. ,■'■
