DATE OF WANGANUI SHOW ; CAENIVAL WEEK IN AUTUMN PROPOSED. ■ (By Telegraph-Special • Correspondent.) ,Wanganui, April 21. An interesting proposal lias teen .made. '.- in connection with the Wangamii Agrii cultural Show. In the first place it is .'proposed that the season of the snow be ■~altered from spring to autumn, prefer- ■ ably in the ■ month (if February, and to I have it incorporated as one of the at- • i tractions for a carnival week. Roughly, . "the proposed programme includes a two days' show, a two days' race meeting ; <ttie usual W.J.C. .fixture), .a trotting .' meeting, a regatta, a gymkhana, an athletic sports meeting, and in the evenings a grand citizens' ball and special theatrical attractions. -It also suggested, • that the annual ram fail - should be held at the samo time, occupying perhaps •themornings of the week, and affording an additional inducement for farmers, resident elsewhere to come to Wangamii for the cariiival. The., proposal is to be ■ discussed at the annual meeting of the Agricultural Association next week.
