Some business firms closed alt day, others from midday, and others for a short period, to enable employees to aticiid the memorial service in the afternoon. Much feeling was expressed at the annual meeting of the Returned Soldiers' Association owing to the decisiou of a number' of business nien to amtinue business on Anzac.Day. ...A motion was carried 1 asking tlio Government to declare the day a close, holiday;, also thtit lists of offending firms be published.
