The Arbitration Court has awarded the manure, tallow and soap workers a. bonus of 2id. per hour; and increased the minimum wage of tailors to .£3 15s. per week, and that of tailbresses to 3.VS. per week for six months after completing their apprenticeship, -and thereafter to 40s. The Christchurch and Tiinaru quarry workers have been granted a 48 hours' week, and the following wages Certificated men, Is. 4kl. .per hour; others, Is. 3\d.; in addition to a bonus of 21d. per hour. - In the moulders' . dispute machine helmen have been granted Is. hour, and journeymen moulders Is. 73d.,. with a bonus of 2Jd. per hour. Bacon curers' wages have been fixed as fellow:—Head curer, £4 per -week; slaughtermen, etc.. Is. 4UI. per hour; cellarmen, etc.. Is. 3Sd. pel' hour; with a bonus of 2.', d. per hour. In the local bodies' disputes, rock tunneimen have been granted 7a. 7M. per hour, clay tunnelnien Is. 4-Jd.i and other workers is. illd. per lioui'. with a bonus of 2Jd. The 6ame scale of wages apnlies to builders, contractors, and general labourers in South Canterbury.' In the bakers' dispute the award pro-, vitles for a 33 hours' week, with wages as follow:—Foreman,<,£4 per week; iourneymim. ,£3 10s.; labonrers, .£3. In conntry bakehouses the waaes arc to be .£'3 10s.. with an outmit. of 2000 loaves per week; .£3 55., with 1500 loaves; X' 3. with 1250 loaves; and .£2 15s. under 1250 loaves. The South Canterbury painters' award provides for a minimum wage of Is. fid. and a bonus of 3d. per hour, and the wool nTid'srnin: store award for Is sid. ner hour, and a bonus of I'd. per hour; bulk iTiannre workers, 3d. an hour extra, and bagged manure workers lJd. an hour extra.
