The New York "World" prints an in. terview with Lenin, obtained by Mr. Puntervold, ft prominent Norwegian statesman. Lenin said that the Allied Governments would find intervention in Russia unpopular, because the peoples of the Allied countries showed a growing sympathy towards Soviet government. It was not entirely impossible that the Allies would attempt to intervene in Kussia this spring, but it.was very unlikely.. Ho was unwilling to grant freedom to the Press, because that would only mean the right of the bourgeoisie to fool the peoplo with lies. They must keep up a dictatorship in Russia, in order to control the bourgeoisie. Their victory over the bourgeoisie would be complete if the Allies did not aid them—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu. ANOTHER STATEMENT. Vienfia, April 10. Lenin foreshadows grave developments and indicates that the Bolsheviki regard the Allies as being powerless to prevent the extension of their doctrines.—Aus.N.Z. News dispatches received from Warsaw, which are unconfirmed, state that a treaty between Germany and the Russian Bolsheviki has been concluded. By it Germany is given the right to. organise Russian industries, munition plants, and railways, and to furnish military instructors for the Russian Army. In return Russia is to furnish Germany with foodstuffs and military aid. The inain. clauses of the treaty have'been accepted by the Executive Council of tile Soviets.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
