METHODS OP ADMINISTRATION. v .The Minister of Lands (the Hon. D. H. Guthrie) has convened a conference of Commissioners of Crown Lands to meet in Wellington on April 28 next, to discuss file Kcnoral administration of the land laws of the country by the land lxmrds. One of the objects of the conference is to secure uniformity iu the plan of administration, for it is a fact that there is not uniformity at present. Amongst the matters to be discussed will hi) the settlement of discharged soldiers on land, and the advisability of amendment or improvement of the law. The Minister has asked the boards to send iii siißKestjons and remits doaling with questions affecting their districts.
