THE TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT
AMERICAN COMPETITION. (Kec. April 20, 5.5 p.m.) New York, April 12. Unconfirmed reports state that three" United States naval seaplanes will start from Rackaway on April 15 on a transAtlantio flight. The first stop will be made at Newfoundland for .replenishment of fuel.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable-Assn. ANOTHER VERSION. (Rec. April 20, 5.5 p.m.) New York, April 12. The Washington correspondent of the New York "Times" is informed that tho proposed United States naval trans-At-lantic flight will not start from Rock.iiv.iy Island- for Newfoundland until May. Probably two naval aeroplanes will leave Newfoundland simultaneously some time next month, going to tho Azores and thence to Portugal. A navel mission has been touring the Newfoundland coast in order to determine the best starting point.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable 'Assn.
