OUTLYING DISTRICTS

At the last meeting of tho City Council the following recommendations of the Outlying Districts Committee were approved :—

That the sum of be placed' on the street works estimates for the current year for the formation of Belvedero Road, Kilbirnie.

That the Roseneath and Oriental Bay Municipal Electors' Association bo informed' that their request for the construction of steps between Roseneath Terrace to Grafton Road cannot be acceded to, as the proposal would interfere with the prospective improvements to be carried ou.t to Grafton Road.

That the property owners in Drake Street, Ivilbirnie, be informed in reply to their request to allow their encroaching fences to remain, that the officers report that, it will be necessary for the fences to >bo set back to their correct boundaries before the construction of the street can be undertaken, and also that it is the council's intention to have the work of formation put in hand immediately such fences are removed'.
