RIFLE SHOOTING
A very interesting gathering of the Brooklyn N.R. Rifle Club took place oil Thursday night at the club's range, Brooklyn, for the purpose of presenting prizes to winners of competitions (luring Inst quarter. Mr. George Frost presided and distributed the various trophies. The winners were as follow: The "Blue Ribbon" of the club, the Perkins Clip, for highest aggregate, was won for the first time by Mr. J. Graham, who. shot very consistently throughout the quarter. Mr. Webb was runner-up, being,four point# behind. The Turner Handicap Cup was won by, Mr. Webb with 790 points, Mr. Hill being second with 788 points. The B Class Cup was very evenly contested, Mr.' H. l J arltin winning by one point from Messrs. oate3 and M'Donald, who tied for second place. The Alabaster Points Cup was won by Mr. Wilson with 33 points. A teams' match (ot five men each) for the Holcroft Shield resulted in a win for the secretary's team with « scote of 319. The monthly competition trophies wero won as under:—A Class: First month, Mr. Jackson; second month, Mr. W. Spencer; third .month, Mr. Alabaster, jtm'. B Class: Mr. M'Donald, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Oates. Mr. Frost (president) and Mr. Perkins (vice-president) both spoke of the successful position of the club ami the keenness of the competitions, and both hoped the club would continue to be as successful as' in the past.
