ESCAPED GERMANS
.MISSING INTEN.NEES NOT YET ARBESTED. The six interned Germans who escaped from Featherston Camp oil Wednesday were reported yesterday to be still at larffo. The men are all young, and it is believed'that they have all had seafaring experience. Their effort to act away at the present time appears to have been due tu Hie fact that they wore to be included in the repatriation draft at the end of this month. It is suggested that tliey may have evaded military (service la their own' country, «nd so have special reason for nut wishing to return. The escape was made in the morning. An official inquiry will hi; made info the cirruuistaiiccs, and if any blame is attached to members of the camp staff a court-martial may be ordered. Two of the Germans probably could pass as British subjects in unsuspicious company. The others aro stated to reveal their nationality fairly plainly in their Bpeecli.
