Four entries liavo been received from cadet companies in Group 5 (Wellington City and Suburbs) for tho Imi>erial Challengo Shield Rifle .Competition. This annual contest, which was initiated in 1910, is open to eadets in all parts of the Empire. Last year there were over 15,00(1 eadets competing. The shooting will lake place at the end of next month. The companies that have entered learns in Group ■'> «ro Nos. 30 and 35 (Teohnical School), No. 31 (Wellington City). Nos. 39-40 (Newtown), and No. 11K (Scots CO No B oliicial announcement has yet been made of the result of the "Weekly Press" Riflo 'Shooting Competition, hut it is understood that the Wellington companies did not wju. ... .. Entries are now hems received lor tho Wellington District Rifle Meeting, which is to bo held on the Putiki range, Wnnganui, on April 25 and 26. The entries from Group 5 indicate that nfjemen are taking a good deal of interesl in the .meeting.
