PEACE CONGRESS AND LABOUR
IMPATIENT AT DELAYS DANGER OF ANARCHY By Telegraph—ProEs Association—Copyright (Kec. April 14, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 11. The National Labour Executive, in a manifesto, states that it is gravely concerned over the delays at the Paris. Conference, entailing a continuation of the blockade and a paralysis of ,'ndustrial and political affairs, leading inevitably to the spread of anarchy in certain European States, seriously menacing democratic government there and elsewhere. The executive urges that the Peace Conference should abandon delays and make peace in accordance with President Wilson's Fourteen Points and the InterAllied Conferences' decisions, thus securing the democracy against militarism and anarchy. The executive adds that tlie Conscription Bill is unnecessary, and a direct violation of the Governments election pledges. It demands that the policy of military interference be stopped . forthwith.
The executive regrets tlio ■ inability of the British Government to make up its mind regarding its attitude towards Russia, which has resulted- in the British force being left practically isolated and exposed to attack at Murmansk an<i' Archangel. It expresses the emphatic' opinion that arrangements should be made for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the safe withdrawal of the Government troops.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
