Murray, chemist, was lined m on a charge of selling an adulterated drug without informing the purchaser that it was adulterated. During the epidemic there was a great demand for ammomatcd tincture *.•: quinine. Defendant ran out of supplies, but found a Winchester iaj' in his store room, labelled ammoniated quinine mixture. Half a gallon Was made up and sold the next day. All.analysis showed that the mixture was deficient in quinine sulphate and contained methylatfd spirit instead of rectified spirit. Defendant stated that the jar was in the shop when lie purchased the business. He was not aware there was anything wrong till oomplaint was madq by oostomers.
