ORDER RESTORED NEW MINISTRY FORMED By Telegraph—Press Asßoclation-Qopyright (Reo. April 13, 5.5 p.m.) • London, April 10. The worst is now considered to be ever in Egypt. Order has been restored and . British authority vindicated by the formation of a new Ministry, which was the signal for the rising. A deputation of Egyptian Ministers to London, which previously was forbidden, will now probably be allowed in order to confer with the Government.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. Official: General Allenby reports that a new Ministry, which is well received, was formed on April 9 under Russdy Pasha, The provinces are now quiot, but there have been some demonstrations by the peasantry, while anti-Armenian disturbances by roughs occurred in parts of Cairo on April 9—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter. RAILWAY STAFFS RESUMING. • (Rec. April 13, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 11. From Egypt General Allenby reports that Cairo is quieter. There.were still some disturbances in tho poorer quarters,' hooligans showing animosity to the Ar. menians and Greeks. The new Ministers ara conferring with tho representatives of the Government and the employees who recently struck. The State railway staffs have resumed, excepting those in the workshops. The provinces are re'ported to bo quiet—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter: HEROIC DEFENCE OF ASSUAN. (Rise. April 12, 5.5 p.m.) ■ London, Ar.rii 9 (delayed). Cairo messages record a story of heroifl defenoe- of Assuan, from which the women and children wore evacuated to Cairo. The garrison on March 20 constructed defences for tho area in wfoioh wero collected tho British and foreign residents and refugees from Luxor. Bedouins tern, porarily improved the posts at Walladia on March 23. Attempts by tho rebels on March 23 and 24 failed. Two aoroplanes on March 25 assisted tho defence with machine-guns. Meanwhile a relief force fought its way by steamer to Deirut to assist. They dispersed snipers on ■ the banks, landed under fire, and immediately restored order.
