WOMEN'S EMANCIPATION BILL

London, April i (delayed). , The House of Commons read a second time the Labour Party's Women's Emancipation Bill, which removes the disabilities excluding women from civil and judicial appointments, and admits peeresses to the House of Lords. Dr. C. Ad' dison, President of the Local Government Board, said the Government was not opposed ,to the Bill, provided it was not committed to an extension the franchise this session.—Aus.-N .Z. table Assn.
