TWO SAILOES SENT TO GAOL.

Two seamen, Henry Charles Lane and Frank Stanford, from tho liner Tropic, were charged (it the Magistrate's Court this morning witli cargo broaching. The case on which they operated contained shirts consigned by the patriotic commit' lees of Australia to the Australian Imperial Force. Four shirts were found in the possession of the accusod. Tho case, originally contained forty-two shirts, of which number thirty-six were missing. The accused were sentenced to one month's imprisonment each, and wera ordered to forfeit M each from theis pay to cover the cost of the shirts.
