SCHOONER WRECKED

THE MISSING AWANUI. Tho Minister of Marine last night received a cablegram from the. Administrator of Samoa reporting that tho schooner Awanui, which has been missing for some time, was wrecked on January '11 at Alofi, Nine. Recently the Minister arranged with the Snmoan authorities to send a schooner to look for' the Awanui, and tho search seems to have been successful. The. Administrator states he has received a message from the island of Tutuila reporting that: the Awanui was wrecked at Alofi, Nine, in a westerly gain on January 11. The crew ia safe, and the cargo from New Zealand has been safely landed. Thirty tons of copra on board have been partly salved. Anderson (tho master), Ruthc (mate), Hall (second mate), and M'Lachlan (steward) are now at Tuhiila.
