\ The monthly meeting of the School i Committees' Association was held in the ; Education > Board's room last evening, ; Mr. Brenton-Eule being in the chair., A large number of delegates wero present, and it was decided to write to the Edu- ■ cation Board expressing appreciation of ; the board's endeavour to obtain universal books for the schools in the Wellington • Education District.

As the next meeting of the association will bo the annual one. : a report of the year's work was adopted. This will be printed and circulated in time to he jread at the annual meeting of householders next Monday.
