KING'S THEATRE. "Peck's Bail Girl" ami tho other films of the attractive programme at the King's Theatre are still proving very popular. J n "Peck's Bad Girl" Mabel Normand plays a part similar to her well-known character studies that made her famous in the old A.B. days. Herbert F. Wood is nightly recalled for his finished rendering of . "Waiting' and "Take a Pair of Sparkling Eyes." I'ho King's orchestra supply the incidental niusic. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. The attraction this week is a Vitagraph feature entitled "The Seal of Silence, starring Grace Daniiond and Earlo Williams. Tlio story concerns a wife who mixes with friends, who. devote their spare time to gambling. Tho plot proucles some highly dramatic moments, and the story moves at a rapid pace. The sixth episode of Patho's serial, "The House of Hate,".is also shown. EMPRESS THEATRE. "The Cast-off" is the title of tlio chief item , now showing at the Empress Theatre. It is a powerful dramatic pliiy, featuring .- the charming actress, Bessio,Barriscalo. A most mteresti.ig number of the "Topical Budget" is also shown as well as a Keystone comedy, "A Game Gambler.''

• PROFESSOR BARRADEN. On Saturday evening next- Professor Barraden will open a return season cf tour nights, introducing as he did on his last visit many new tests, Professor Barraden last week proved himself an adept showman. The two new hypnotic features for Saturday evening are both new to Wellington, "The Hypnotic Tea Party" and "The Hypnotic Boxing Match." The tea party is said to be a "scream." The professor has a tablo laid, and has the men from the audience enjoying a great feast at a. party, each one being given something dainty to eat. The hyuijtie boxing match is equally as funny. Each man is given gloves, and while under the professor's iuduenco the men are told they are great boxers, and they fight until the professor tells them they inust still fight, but not hit each other. These movements iu this test aro funny in the extreme. Many other now tests are promised, tho above two being the big features of the night. The box plan is now for the entire season at the Bristol, and patrons are advised to Ixiok early. There is no extra booking fee.

PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRA. The Wellington Professional Orchestra, ono of the finest musical assets Wellington possesses is to give its first concert of tne 1919 'season at His Majesty's Theatre on Sunday evening under the direction of Mr. _H. Moschini. Tho programme will include the overture "Britannia," a patriotic composition by Sir' Alexander Mackenzie. Edward German's "Henry VIII" dances, a "MadameButterfly" fantasia, and Mascagni's "Hymn to the Sun" from "Iris."
