EDUCATIONAL INFORMS IN VIEW. (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.) Masterton, April 6. The Hon. J. A. Hunan, Minister of Education, who is at present on an oflicial visit to tho Wairarapfj, visited Masterton on Saturday. Ho was driven to various schools, and in the afternoon was accorded a public reception m the Municipal Buildings. In responding to speeches of welcome, tho Minister outlined a number of reforms which ho intended pressing for. Ono of these was standardised school building. Ho intimated that ho intended shortly publishing an educational gazette. In the course of his remarks he referred to the men who sat on tho fence and criticised, but who gave no practical support to tno cause- of education. Mr. Haiian will visit, further schools on Monday, and in the evening will be entertained at dinner by the Progressive League, and receive a reputation requesting the erection of a technical high school.
