DANNEVIRKE AND WOODVILLE
The work of installing, a metallic cir- | cuit at Dannevirke in connection with' the telephone service is'to be proceeded witk at an early date. ' The Postal Department is reported to have acquired the present site of tlio Dannevirke police station. - Football is being revived in Woodvillo, and tho local club is getting a good team together. Miss Nixon, who has relinquished her position in the Woodvillo Post Office, was made the recipient of n presentation this week. Over ,£2OO was realised by 1 the recent Tuesday Patriotic Shop, at Woodvillo. A match between the" Dannevirke and Hinemoa Lawn Tennis Clubs this week was won easily by the Dannevirke Club. A Indies' committee has been formed at Dannevirke to assist in the management of returned soldiers' dances. Tho first dance is to be held next week. Miss Hobortshawo will be the secretary to the Ladies' Committee.
