MARCH GRADING FIGURES. "A return prepared by the Depart-, ment of Agriculture shows thequantities of hemp, tow, and stripper slips graded at the ports of the Dominion during Alaroh.. ■■'.•' The total number of bales of hemp graded was 13,357, as compared with 17,751 for the corresponding period of last year,' a decrease of-1394 bales. ■ Foithe twelve months ended March 31, 1919, •the number of bales graded was 136.773, a* compared .with'l63,Blß for the previous twelve months, a. decrease of 26,045 bales. During the month 2831 bales of tow we dealt with, as compared with 3561 for the corresponding period last year, a decrease of 730 bales. .For the twelve mouths ended March the number of bales graded was- 21,153, as compared with 36,500 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 15,347 bales. ■ During the month no stripper slips were graded, as compared with' 223 bales for the' corresponding month last year. For the twelve months ended March 81, 1919, the number of bales graded \ as 599, as compared' with' 2105 .bales for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 1506 bales. , __
